2018- A Magical Year for me and Norwegian Wilderness.

Published 28.12.18

There is absolutely no doubt that 2018 has been a fantastic year for outdoors enthusiasts all over our beautiful country. We had a proper winter with meters upon meters of snow, a stable spring, a dry summer (perhaps too dry if I may say so?) and a fall season with all its splendid colours and contrasts. It was a somewhat frustrating endeavor to go fishing with the dry riverbeds we had this year, but we can't complain as we traded in our fishing gear for hiking gear and got to enjoy our beautiful mountains instead. This year I got to visit wilderness areas in Trysil, Rendalen, Femund, Hallingskarvet, Oppdal, Sunnmørsalpene, Bodø and Lofoten. At times I went by myself, other times I went with friends, acquaintances and clients through Norwegian Wilderness. I want to thank each and every one of you who came with me on a trip, and I hope that you are left with as many beautiful and inspiring memories as I am.

This is the first year I've offered guided trips with Norwegian Wilderness, and it has proven to be a great demand for guided wilderness adventures that only grows through the use of channels like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. My wish is to be able to fund my own expeditions and associated expenses by showcasing the best that Norwegian nature has to offer at the best possible price so that it's accessible for most. I want to give a huge thank you to Villmarksbutikken that has helped me assemble all of my outdoor gear at reasonable prices. Thanks to the knowledgeable and experienced staff they'll help you find exactly what you need without trying to sell you unnecessary extras, and they can attest to the product quality through personal experience. Thank you for a great year, and let us look forward to the next. What might 2019 bring? Will the increased populations in game bird keep growing and give us another amazing bird hunting season? Will the rivers flow steady and welcome fly fishing enthusiasts to enjoy its beautiful scenery and bounty? I am so excited for everything the new year will offer and have only one resolution for this coming year: Get outdoors and enjoy the magnificent Norwegian nature as much as possible! I am lucky to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the World and I welcome you to come experience it with me.
